The Herrick Family

The last ~70 years of our School’s 135-year existence were made possible by the exceptional generosity of the Herrick family. Although the Herricks preferred anonymity about their generosities, Honorary Alumna Alice Snyder has gathered some published information of the Herrick family which we are sharing here, in the interest of historical accuracy, with our thankfulness that our School was preserved for 70 more years than it would have been otherwise.

This statue of Ray Herrick stood at the entrance of the Herrick Administration Building on the HMS campus until our School closed in 2019. It was then moved to Tecumseh, MI, and is located at 42° 0.238′ N, 83° 56.5′ W.
